Endless Pools on the Love Boat

In December 1998, the star of Aaron Spelling's hit series, Love Boat—The Next Wave was not Robert Urich, the Captain of the ship, but an Endless Pool.

The Endless Pool, which was installed on the show's set in Hollywood, was the star in two episodes focusing on the high-jinks of the Captain's son practicing his jet ski skills in the pool, and a guest star who wanted to display his swimming prowess to a woman he wanted to impress.

Let's just say that the pool provided the action needed to power the plot of each show!
